Yes a bit earlier then expectedas too much news does n’t invite to read and too late news is no news. Just visited on my way to Terlet the airfield of Malden and had a look at the brand new 2 storey hangar  and the fantastic looking vintage gliders.
The hangar is unique. You can drive under-ground with the trailer behind, put it away and drive out again on the other site. Too easy. On the level floor you can bring in rigged gliders.

A big “bunch” of vintage glider-owners and their families, put their camper, caravan or tent at the airfield of Malden. Lovely planes even a Grunau Baby I went solo in but this one was even older.The Vintage pilots meet each other regular in Holland or abroad. Gliders are in perfect nick so are trailers. Have a look.

 

 

After , we drove to the Postillion hotel with no hurry as day 2 from the Nationals was cancelled due to the expected weather. Also the day in Hahnweide has been cancelled so tomorrow it is all or nothing!

 

 By the way these glorious old gliders are towed up by a very modern van Gelder winch. Have a look.
